You need recognition. If someone goes to your website and has no idea who you are and what you do. You have lost a potential client. It’s that quick. 3-5 seconds on average. As a web designer for 20 years, I can tell you how quickly a person will leave a site if they have no idea what they are dealing with or have no easy way to interact with said site.
Branding helps people know who to expect from you. If I market my web and graphic design business and brand it as such, people know they can come to me for that. Will clients come to me that want accounting, no. I am situated in a niche market, I proclaim what I do, I am branded as such which leaves no one to “try to figure it out”. They know what to expect from me.
Creates loyal customers and referrals. Which creates growth and longevity in your business. If you provide a service or product without visible branding how can this be passed onto others with ease? How can I refer you? If you don’t have a logo, a website, social media, anything that showcases who you are that is concise and branded, you will get lost in the mix.
